So what someone is saying.... is that if Detroit was indeed the capital of Michigan at some time.... when they decided that Lansing should be the capital.....they switched the cities locations??? I'm pretty sure Detroit has always been in the same place. And that is in the south east corner of the lower penninsula. Lansing is just below dead center of the lower penninsula.

in case you guys never learned about Mr. MIMAL in grade school ((M)innesota, (I)owa, (M)issouri, (A)rkansas, (L)ouisiana) he is formed by all of the said states with Minnesota as the hat, Iowa as the face (with a nose poking into Illinois) Missouri as his torso, Arkansas as his legs/pants, and Louisiana as his boot. He is standing in such a way that all you see is his profile, but if you look at the positioning of Arkansas and Tennessee, it appears as though he has a massive boner.
